Orange Prize for Fiction 2009 - Longlist

The Orange Prize for Fiction is awarded to novels written in the English language and written by women. This is the longlist for this year (I have highlighted what appeals to my senses as a reader and I will be giving you the plots in a nice post pretty soon):
